To set up and operate the ROTHENBERGER ROWELD P160 Saniline Butt Welding Machine, follow these steps:
1. Read the instruction manual and safety guidelines provided with the machine carefully before use.
2. Place the machine on a level and solid surface.
3. Pull the xxxx and swing the machine upward until the locking bolts click into place.
4. Connect the power plug of the trimmer unit and heating element to the appropriate power supply as stated on the type plate.
5. Turn on the heating element using the large press-button on the hand grip. Set the desired temperature using the "+" or "-" button. Wait for the heating element to reach the set temperature.
6. Prepare the pipes to be welded by inserting the correct clamping inserts/brackets into the main clamps. Ensure that the upper and lower reduction clamping inserts match.
7. Insert the plastic pipes or fittings to be welded into the clamps. Use support brackets to hold the pipes in place.
8. Close the clamping plates and adjust the tension using the adjusting nut until the maximum force is reached. Ensure that the workpieces are securely held in the clamping tool.
9. Check that the heating element has reached the operating temperature before proceeding.
10. Swing the trimmer between the pipe ends and trim the front sides until a uniform and unbroken chip is produced.
11. Move the pipe ends apart and check if the welded surfaces are flat. If not, repeat the trimming process.
12. Swivel the heating element between the two workpieces and bring the pipe ends together. Apply force to the grip bar and stop the driveshaft by pulling the clamping lever.
13. Once the required bead height is reached evenly over the entire circumference, disengage the clamping lever, reduce the force, and tighten the clamping lever again.
14. After the preheating time is over, move the workpieces apart, swivel out the heating element, and bring the workpiece ends together again. Increase the joining force until the nominal force is reached and pull the clamping lever. Maintain the joining force during the cooling period.
15. At the end of the cooling period, disengage the clamping lever and release the spring via the grip bar. Unclamp and remove the welded tube sections.
16. After use, unplug the trimmer and heating element. Swivel the trimmer into the space between the main clamps. Wind up the flex and insert the heating element into the mounting provided in the underframe.
It is important to follow all safety guidelines and consult the welding parameters specified in the manual for accurate and safe operation of the .
