To connect the Leonton PG5-2004-SFP switch to your network, follow these steps:
1. Prepare a twisted-pair, straight-through category 5 cable for Ethernet connection.
2. Insert one end of the RJ-45 cable into the switch's Ethernet port.
3. Insert the other end of the RJ-45 cable into the Ethernet port of your networking device, such as a switch, PC, or server.
4. The Ethernet port's LED on the Leonton switch will turn on when the cable is connected to the networking device.
5. Repeat these steps for each port you want to connect to your network.
Please refer to the "Ethernet Ports" section of the user manual for more information on the pin assignments for RJ-45 ports and the types of cables you can use.
Note: Make sure to use the appropriate cable length, not exceeding 100 meters (328 feet), and select the proper UTP or STP cable based on your network requirements.
If you encounter any issues during the connection process, please refer to the "Troubleshooting" section of the user manual or contact Leonton for technical support.
