To install the ecostrad 12902 Scala Electric Towel Rail, please follow these steps:
1. Check that all components are present and that the product has not been damaged during transit.
2. Ensure that installation is carried out by a qualified professional or a fully competent person in accordance with the relevant British and European standards and building regulations.
3. The towel rail comes pre-filled and adjusted for electrical standalone use, so no filling is required. Do not remove any seals as this may cause leakages and void the warranty.
4. Before drilling or fixing into walls, floors, or ceilings, check for pipes and wires to avoid damaging them. Wear necessary personal protective equipment.
5. Mounting the towel rail on the wall:
- Check that the wall is strong enough to hold the weight of the towel rail. If you have plasterboard walls, it is recommended to fix timbers.
- Mark your preferred bracket positions on the wall and drill holes for the wall plugs or alternative fixings.
- xxxx the wall supports to the wall using the washers and wall screws provided or alternative fixings if required. Ensure that the mini screws face downward.
- xxxx the bracket stems into the threads on the back of the towel rail.
- Align the bracket stems with the wall supports and push the towel rail back into position.
- Hold the towel rail against the wall and tighten the mini screws using the hexagon key provided.
6. Connecting the towel rail:
- Wiring the heating element to the mains should be done by a qualified electrician. Refer to the element manual for full instructions and safety warnings.
- Note that the heating element must always be located at the bottom of the rail. Do not fit the element at the top.
Please refer to the ecostrad 12902 Scala Electric Towel Rail Instruction Manual for more detailed installation instructions and safety precautions.
