To install the PQL-55538 120-277V LED Linear High Bay, please follow these steps:
1. Before installation, it is recommended to consult a qualified licensed electrician and check your local electrical code.
2. Turn off the electrical power at the fuse or circuit breaker box before wiring the fixture to the power supply. Also, make sure to turn off the power when performing any maintenance.
3. Verify that the supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the information on the luminaire label.
4. Make all electrical and grounded connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements. Use UL approved wire connectors to cap all wiring connections.
5. Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
6. Take precautions to account for small parts and destroy packing material, as they may be hazardous to children.
7. Do not relocate the green ground xxxx provided in the proper location.
8. Ensure that the supply conductors have a minimum 90° rating.
9. The fixture is suitable for dry or damp locations.
10. Before installation, remove the new LED fixture from packaging and inspect for any damages. Handle the fixture with care.
11. For standard chain mount installation, install the chain into the provided wire hanger. Secure the other end of the chain to a structure using hardware rated for the load. Install the wire hanger on the side of the top LED channel, ensuring that the wiring hangers are fully engaged into the side holes on the top channel.
12. Connect the LED high bay wiring to the line voltage wire: black to hot, white to neutral, and green to ground. If your fixture is equipped with 0-10V dimming leads (purple and pink or gray wires inside the driver compartment), connect them to dimming low voltage wiring only. If not connecting to a 0-10V dimming circuit, make sure to cap off the fixture dimmer leads separately from each other to avoid improper fixture operation and voiding the warranty.
13. Clean any residues or fingerprints from the new LED high bay and lens. Double-check all hanging hardware before proceeding with the installation.
