To install the LUMASCAPE LS9404LED Vedita Ceiling Cavity Mount, please follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to isolate the luminaire from power to avoid any potential hazards.
2. It is strongly recommended to use a LUMASCAPE power supply or transformer. Using an electronic transformer will permanently damage the luminaire. All connections must be kept dry to prevent product reliability issues.
3. Locate the power supply or transformer centrally in relation to the luminaires. Ensure that the power supply is a 24V DC ripple-free power supply.
4. Mark the actual locations of the luminaires to be installed. Use the provided charts to calculate the cable size for each run, including all luminaires to be connected to a run of cable. Use the same chart to select the appropriate power supply.
5. Using the supplied 41mm holesaw, drill a hole in the ceiling or cavity wall at the marked locations.
6. Fold the legs up on the ceiling clip and insert it into the hole. Feed the LS9404LED cable through the mounting clip.
7. Lay the cable from the power supply/transformer for each cable run. If dimming is required, four conductors will be needed. For non-dimmed installations, only two conductors are required. The dimming circuit can use 1mm cable.
8. Connect the luminaire to the supply cable using the wire nuts supplied. Ensure that any joint is dry and watertight to maintain the warranty. If dimming is not required, do not connect the orange and grey wires. Seal and keep the wires dry to prevent the T5 smart driver from dimming the luminaire due to a voltage differential.
9. Switch on the power and check that each luminaire is operating correctly.
10. Press the LS9404LED fully into the mounting clip to secure it in place.
