To enter your artwork for the APH InSights Art 2023 competition and exhibition, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for entering artwork. You must have corrected visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye or a visual field limited to 20 degrees or less.
2. Complete the entry form, which can be found on the APH website or requested by contacting APH directly.
3. Choose whether you will be submitting your original artwork or digital photos of your artwork.
- If you are submitting your original artwork:
- Pack your artwork carefully, especially if it is ceramic or glass.
- Include the completed entry form with your shipment.
- Ship your artwork to the following address by March 31, 2023:
APH InSights Art
American Printing House for the Blind, Inc.
1839 Frankfort Ave.
Louisville, Kentucky 40206
- If you are submitting digital photos of your artwork:
- Send high-resolution, high-definition photos of your artwork.
- You may send up to four photos of a single artwork.
- If the artwork is two-dimensional, a photo of the front will usually be adequate, but you may include closeup photos if your artwork features significant texture.
- If the artwork is three-dimensional, photos showing several sides of the piece may be appropriate.
- Email the digital photos, along with the completed entry form, to insights@aph.org.
4. All entrants will receive a certificate. If your artwork is selected for the exhibition, you will be notified by email.
5. If your artwork is selected for the exhibition, you may be asked to ship your original artwork to APH. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of your award.
Please note that matting, framing, and other preparations are not required as APH will handle the display of the chosen pieces. Additionally, if you wish to sell your artwork, indicate it on the entry form, and a 10% handling fee will be added to the selling price.
For any further questions or clarifications, you can contact APH at the provided phone numbers, fax number, or email address.
