To mount the UBIQUITI UAP-AC-M UniFi Access Point AC Mesh on a wall, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary tools: You will need a drill and a 6 mm drill bit, as well as a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Choose the desired location for the access point on the wall.
3. Use the drill and 6 mm drill bit to create two holes in the wall, spaced according to the mounting bracket on the access point.
4. Insert the provided screws into the drilled holes, leaving them partially exposed.
5. Align the mounting bracket on the back of the access point with the screws on the wall.
6. Slide the access point down onto the screws until it is securely mounted on the wall.
7. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws, ensuring that the access point is firmly attached to the wall.
8. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the access point.
9. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your LAN and DHCP server.
10. Power the access point by connecting it to a Gigabit PoE adapter (included), a Ubiquiti UniFi Switch with PoE, or an 802.3af PoE compliant switch.
Note: The UAP-AC-M supports 802.3af/A PoE and 24V Passive PoE. It does not support 802.3af/B PoE and therefore does not work with 802.3af/B switches.
