To configure the PROmesh P8+F Industrial Ethernet Switch, follow these steps:
1. Download the Service Tool software from the following link: www.indu-sol.com/en/servicetool. Make sure you have the latest version of the software.
2. Connect your client PC (Windows) to one of the data ports (P1 - P8) on the PROmesh P8+F using a suitable data line.
3. Ensure that the PROmesh P8+F and the client PC are located in the same IP address range and IP subnet. Assign a suitable IP address to the PROmesh P8+F for the first time using the already installed ServiceTool.
4. After assigning the IP address and subnet mask, you can access the Web UI of the PROmesh P8+F. The default factory settings are as follows:
- IP Address: 0.0.0.0
- Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0
- Gateway: 0.0.0.0
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
5. Install and start the Service Tool software. Scan the system with the search setting "PROFINET-Gerät". The PROmesh P8+F should be displayed in the search result.
6. Make and save individual entries in the input mask of the Service Tool software.
7. When logging in for the first time, change the factory-set password. Document this password and protect it against unauthorized access.
8. Access the Web User Interface by opening your browser and entering the IP address of the PROmesh P8+F configured in the Service Tool. Alternatively, you can right-click on the corresponding list entry in the context menu of the Service Tool and select "to website".
