To set up the Heimgard AX 1800 Smart Mesh system, follow these steps:
1. Unbox the product and familiarize yourself with the components, including the LED indicator, reset button, sync button, WAN/LAN port, LAN port, and power connector.
2. Connect the primary Smart Mesh node to your modem or router using the WAN/LAN port.
3. Plug the primary node into a power outlet and wait for it to boot. The LED indicator will flash green during this process.
4. Download the Heimgard Connect mobile application on your smartphone.
5. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and set up your primary node. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the primary node.
6. Once the primary node is set up, you can add additional Smart Mesh nodes to extend the Wi-Fi coverage in your home.
7. Temporarily place the new Smart Mesh node near the primary node (at least 1 meter away) and connect it to a power outlet. Wait a few minutes for the node to boot.
8. In the Heimgard Connect app, select "add" a new node or press the sync button on both the primary node and the new node.
9. The new Smart Mesh node will bind to the network, and the LED indicator will flash blue during the connection process.
10. Wait for the LED on the new node to become solid green, indicating a successful connection.
11. You can now disconnect the new node from power and move it to its desired location for better Wi-Fi coverage.
12. When powering the new node in its final location, check the LED status to ensure it has a good signal to the primary node. If the LED is flashing red, consider repositioning the node for optimal performance.
