There are two methods to connect the Joy Pad Controller to your Nintendo Switch console for the first time:
Method 1: Slide the two Joy Pads along the slide rails on both sides of the main screen from top to bottom until you hear a clicking sound. This will indicate that the installation is successful and the console will display an icon to indicate the connection.
Method 2:
Step 1: Press the power button on the console to enter the console interface.
Step 2: Click on the "Controllers" option.
Step 3: Click on the "Change Grip/Order" option.
Step 4: Press and hold the pairing button on the two Joy Pads for more than 2 seconds to connect. The four LEDs on the Joy Pads will flash as marquee lights. Once the connection is successful, the corresponding player's indicator light will remain on. Press the L+R keys to use the Joy Pads.
Note: The Nintendo Switch console can connect up to 6 control devices, and each Joy Pad is considered as one control device.
