To ensure proper installation of the TRIM-TEX 4 Inches Bullnose Corner Bead, follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided by Trim-Tex:
1. Before installation, make sure the setbacks (distance from the corner edge to the adjacent wall surface) are even. Measure, cut, and dry fit the bead, leaving a ½" gap at the floor.
2. Coat both the bead and the edge of the drywall with Trim-Tex 847 Spray Adhesive. This adhesive helps to secure the bead in place.
3. Press the bead in place, applying pressure to the mud legs. The mud legs are the extended portions of the bead that will be covered with drywall compound.
4. Staple the bead every 6"-8" using ½" staples. This helps to further secure the bead to the drywall.
5. Finish the installation by applying drywall compound over the bead. This will blend the bead with the surrounding wall surface.
