To connect the SOUND TOWN OBERON-15SPW High Power Active Subwoofer to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the Combo Input on the rear panel of the subwoofer. It has two balanced 1/4"/XLR combo jacks (1/2).
2. Use an audio cable (such as an XLR or 1/4" TRS cable) to connect the output of your audio source (such as a mixer or amplifier) to one of the Combo Input jacks. If you have a stereo source, you can connect both left and right channels to the two Combo Input jacks.
3. If you have additional speakers, you can connect them to the subwoofer using the XLR Output jacks. This allows you to pass the full range signal to the speakers.
4. Adjust the Subwoofer Volume Control to set the gain of the input signal. The standard usage is to set it at 50% initially and adjust as needed.
5. Use the XOVER (Low Pass Filter) control to determine how much high frequency is filtered out of the signal. This does not add bass to the signal but controls the amount of high frequency cut.
6. Set the OUTPUT MODE switch to 'LINK' if you want the XLR outputs to pass through the full range signal. Set it to 'XOVER' if you want the XLR outputs to output a high pass signal according to the XOVER setting.
7. If needed, use the Polarity Switch to reverse the polarity of the subwoofer. This depends on the placement of the subwoofer relative to the speakers.
8. Connect the included IEC power cable to the AC Input receptacle on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
9. Set the Voltage selection switch to the proper voltage for your area (115V for US Standard or 230V for European Standard).
10. Turn on the subwoofer using the Power Switch.
