To install the , please follow these instructions:
1. For a bottom mount toilet seat:
a. Install the rubber base to the seat post hinges.
b. Slip the bolts through the washers, then through the hinge holes.
c. The hinge features built-in adjustable washers. Rotate the washers as needed for the best alignment of the seat on the toilet bowl.
d. Thread the nuts onto the bolts. Tighten the bolts using a screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
e. Close the hinge covers. The seat will not work if the hinge covers are not closed tightly.
2. For snap-off instructions:
a. Open the hinge covers.
b. Slide the seat forward to remove it from the posts.
3. For snap-on instructions:
a. Slide the seat onto the seat posts.
b. Close the hinge covers.
4. For a bottom mount zip speed connect toilet seat:
a. Install the rubber base to the seat post hinges.
b. Slip the bolts through the washers, then through the hinge holes.
c. When opened, the nuts can slip over the threads for rapid installation.
d. When closed, the nuts lock onto the threads, allowing final tightening with a screwdriver or supplied attachment handles.
e. Tighten the bolts using a screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
f. Close the hinge covers. The seat will not work if the hinge covers are not closed tightly.
g. Unscrew with a screwdriver or supplied attachment handles until the bolt is loose.
5. For a top mount toilet seat:
a. For ease of installation of black rubber grommets, insert the steel bolt (capture a few threads), and wet the lower area with some water (soapy water works best).
b. Note: The flange must remain above the surface. Do not allow the grommet to fall through!
c. Once the grommet is in place, unscrew and remove the bolts and keep them nearby for step 5.
d. Install the rubber base to the seat post hinges.
e. Slip the bolts through the washers, then through the hinge holes.
f. Tighten the bolts using a screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
g. Close the hinge covers. The seat will not work if the hinge covers are not closed tightly.
