According to the CORSAIR XR5 Water Cooling Radiators user manual, cleaning the radiator requires following specific guidelines.
For the internals of the radiator, it is recommended to purge the radiator using distilled water only. If the internals are particularly dirty, you can use dishwashing soap to degrease them. However, make sure to thoroughly flush the radiator with distilled water afterwards.
When it comes to cleaning the externals of the radiator, you should use compressed air and a gentle brush. It is important to maintain a distance of at least 10cm (4") between the nozzle and the radiator while cleaning.
Please note that using any strong acid, base, or alcohol to clean the radiator is not recommended, as it may damage the radiator and void your warranty. Additionally, CORSAIR does not recommend the use of any third-party radiator cleaning agents.
Remember to remove the protective caps before using the radiator. These caps cannot be used to close any open threads in the loop.
