To clean the ELVITA CVK1022X Travel Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Always unplug the kettle from the wall socket before cleaning.
2. Cleaning the exterior: When the kettle is cool, wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth. You can use a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid if needed. Avoid using strong detergents or chemicals.
3. Cleaning the filter: The spout of the kettle contains a filter that should be cleaned regularly. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the filter.
4. Descaling the unit: Over time, limescale may build up inside the kettle. To remove limescale, use a descaler specifically designed for this purpose, which can be purchased from supermarkets. The recommended descaling frequency depends on the water hardness:
- Soft water: Descaling every 3-4 months.
- Medium-hard water: Descaling every 4-6 weeks.
- Hard water: Descaling every 2-4 weeks.
Note: Products clogged with limescale are not covered by the product guarantee.
