To connect the PR-W3PI Intelligent Wall Mount Power Distribution Unit to your network, you have two options: Wi-Fi or Wired LAN. Here are the steps for each option:
1. Wi-Fi Setup:
- Plug in the included power cable to the PDU and to the AC main outlet on the wall. Wait for the power button to start flashing.
- Scan for Wi-Fi on your Wi-Fi-enabled device with a web browser.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi SSID of the PDU. The SSID will be "Metra-XXXX XXXX XXXX" where the "x" represents the MAC address or device ID of the PDU. Make sure the code of the SSID matches the MAC address of the PDU.
- In a web browser, go to "192.168.4.1".
- Go to the "Network" section and click "SCAN NETWORKS".
- Select your desired network SSID (make sure it is a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection).
- Enter the password for the Wi-Fi connection if required.
- Click "Save". The PDU will now connect and reboot.
2. Wired LAN Setup:
- Plug in the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port (labeled "G") on the PDU.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your network router or switch.
Once the PDU is connected to your network, you can proceed with remote management and control using the Web and Mobile app provided. For further details and troubleshooting, please refer to the user manual.
