To install the HALBMKIT-ED Command Access Technologies on your Hager 4500, PDQ 6200, or Lawrence Rim 8000 Series Exit Device, follow these steps:
1. Remove the head cover and the two screws securing the housing to the push pad.
2. Slide the housing off and push the LBM bracket into the existing holes on the exit device.
3. Run the LBM wires down the push pad to the back of the device and slide the housing back on, keeping the wires in the lower channel.
4. Remove the LBM bracket and re-install the two screws to secure the housing to the push pad.
5. Slide the arm of the LBM bracket into the opening at the bottom of the exit device head.
6. Push the two tabs on the LBM bracket into the existing holes in the exit device head.
7. Confirm that the switch arm is underneath the rim latch pin. Install one 40266 xxxx into the top hole on the LBM bracket to secure the bracket to the exit device head.
8. Install one 60754 cap onto the latchbolt roll pin.
9. Pull wire slack and add a cable tie and sticky pad for strain relief. Add the LBM color code sticker.
