To install the Manhattan Above Fireplace Pull Down TV Mount, follow these steps:
1. Determine the type of wall you have: wood stud, solid concrete, or concrete block. Make sure the wall can support five times the weight of the TV and mount combined.
2. Attach the wall plate to the wall:
a. For wood stud installation:
- Locate the center of the stud using a stud finder.
- Drill pilot holes using a 3/16 in. diameter drill bit.
- Install the wall plate assembly using four lag bolts and a washer. Tighten the lag bolts until they are firmly against the wall plate assembly.
b. For solid concrete or concrete block installation:
- Position the wall plate template on the wall at your desired height.
- Level the wall plate and mark the hole locations.
- Drill four pilot holes using a 3/8 in. diameter masonry drill bit.
- Insert four anchors, ensuring they are seated flush with the concrete surface.
- Install the wall plate assembly using four lag bolts and four washers. Tighten the lag bolts until they are firmly against the wall plate assembly.
3. Attach the TV bracket to the TV:
- Select the appropriate xxxx diameter and length.
- Attach the bracket to the back of the TV using the screws/washers or spacer/ xxxx /washer provided.
4. Assemble the bracket:
- Attach the front panel onto the TV bracket using four washers and four nuts in the corner holes shown.
5. Hang the TV onto the bracket:
- Lift the TV with the help of another person and hang the bracket on the front panel.
- Use a Philips screwdriver to tighten the two locking screws that secure the bracket to the front panel.
6. Adjust the TV:
- Adjust the spring pressure to balance the weight of the display using a ratchet wrench or the hex key provided.
- Loosen the tilt lock xxxx on the side to adjust the tilt angle.
- For horizontal level adjustment, slightly loosen the four nuts, hold the TV, and gently turn it to the desired position. Then re-tighten the nuts to lock it in place.
