To install the DELTA ITG70BT Ventilation Fan with Bluetooth Speaker, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power source and review all safety precautions before beginning installation.
2. For new construction:
a. Attach the duct connector to the fan housing.
b. Remove the wiring box cover from the fan housing and remove the wiring knockout.
c. Place the fan housing next to a ceiling joist or wall stud and mount it using nails.
d. Pull the wire through the hole and into the junction box, securing the house wiring from the wall switch to the fan.
e. Install a circular 4-inch duct and secure it with duct tape or clamps.
f. Finish the ceiling work and plug the Micro USB connector into the speaker assembly, securing it to the fan unit.
g. Pinch the mounting springs on the grille and insert them into the slots inside the fan. Push the grille up toward the ceiling.
h. Turn on the electricity at the breaker box.
3. For existing construction:
a. Turn off the power source and remove the existing fan.
b. Measure the opening to ensure it can accommodate the new fan body.
c. Attach the duct connector to the fan housing.
d. Remove the screws holding the fan motor assembly in place and unplug the fan and speaker connector.
e. Pull the wire through the hole and into the junction box, securing the house wiring from the wall switch to the fan.
f. Install a circular 4-inch duct and secure it with duct tape or clamps.
g. Insert the fan housing through the existing hole in the ceiling and mount it to the joist or stud using nails.
h. Plug the fan assembly back into the fan housing and reattach it with screws.
i. Plug the Micro USB connector into the speaker assembly, securing it to the fan unit.
j. Pinch the mounting springs on the grille and insert them into the slots inside the fan. Push the grille up toward the ceiling.
k. Turn on the electricity at the breaker box.
