To connect multiple batteries in series or parallel, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that all batteries you are connecting have the same voltage (V), capacity (Ah), and are the same type (Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4)).
2. Fully charge all batteries before connecting them.
3. Use battery interconnect cables that are the same wire gauge (AWG) and length, and preferably from the same brand. This will ensure consistent impedance and balanced charge and discharge performance.
4. Connect the batteries one by one in series or parallel, depending on your desired configuration. You can connect up to 4 batteries in either series or parallel.
- Series Connection: Connect the positive terminal (+) of one battery to the negative terminal (-) of the next battery. Repeat this for all batteries in the series. The voltage of the battery bank will be the sum of the individual battery voltages.
- Parallel Connection: Connect the positive terminals (+) of all batteries together and the negative terminals (-) together. The capacity of the battery bank will be the sum of the individual battery capacities.
5. Secure all cable connections between the cable lugs and terminals to ensure proper conductivity.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and diagrams on how to connect the batteries in series or parallel. If you have any further questions or need assistance, you can contact HQST at sales@myhqsolar.com.
