To mount the ATDEC AD-WT-5040 Tilt Wall Mount to the wall, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure you have the required tools: Phillips head screwdriver, power drill, suitable drill bit, driver bit for selected wall fasteners, stud finder, and spirit level.
2. Start by mounting the Wall Plate to the wall. Use a stud finder to locate the center of the studs on a stud wall or drywall. On a masonry wall, avoid positioning the wall plate mounting fasteners in a mortar joint. The wall plate must be level, so verify using a spirit level tool.
3. Choose and supply appropriate wall plate fasteners based on the weight of the display and wall construction method. Consult a fastener supplier or structural engineer for guidance.
4. Attach the display brackets to the display. Always use multi-washers and the shortest combination of spacers (if necessary) to ensure the display is secure and screws are not forced too deep into the display.
5. Hook the display onto the wall plate. Angle the display and hook the display brackets over the top of the wall plate. This step should be completed by two people for safety.
6. Ensure the security xxxx is loosened before attempting to mount the display.
7. Secure the display and lock the tilt angle. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the security xxxx on each display bracket, ensuring the xxxx sits to the rear of the wall plate. This prevents the display from being lifted up and off the wall plate. Tilt the display to the desired viewing angle and tighten the xxxx xxxx to lock the angle in place.
Note: It is important to support the display while tightening the security screws and adjusting the tilt.
