To upgrade the firmware on your YAWOA YA101 YA Series Code Reader, please follow these steps:
1. Download the upgrade file from the provided link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder.... Save the file to your desktop and unzip it.
2. Connect the YA series code reader to a USB port on your laptop. Make sure not to connect the OBDII cable to the car. The code reader's screen will display 'Upgrading'.
3. Open 'My Computer' on your laptop, and you should see a new [Removable Disk] displayed. This represents the code reader.
4. Copy all files from the removable disk and paste them anywhere on your computer to create a backup.
5. Format the removable disk. Then, copy and paste the new upgrade files that you downloaded into the removable disk.
6. Wait for the transfer to finish. The duration may vary depending on your laptop's configuration.
7. Once the transfer is complete, the upgrade process is finished. You can now disconnect the code reader from your laptop.
8. That's it! The firmware upgrade is complete.
Tips:
- If the screen shows "NO TF CARD!!" after upgrading, please repeat steps 5 and 6. Copy the folders and files (as shown in the provided picture) into the removable disk's root path. Do not copy the entire folders.
- If you cannot see the 'Upgrading' screen after connecting the USB to your laptop, ensure that the OBDII cable is not connected to the car.
- No USB driver installation is required before upgrading.
- If the screen gets stuck on the main page after upgrading, it indicates that you have upgraded with the wrong files. In such cases, please contact sales to obtain the correct upgrade files.
