To install the FADINI BARRI 88 Oil Hydraulic Road Barrier for 4 Meters Gateways, follow these steps:
1. Before installation, assess the suitability of the access, its general condition, and the structure. Make sure there is no risk of impact, crushing, shearing, conveying, cutting, entangling, or lifting situations that may jeopardize people's safety.
2. Do not install the barrier near any source of heat and avoid contact with flammable substances.
3. Keep all the accessories that can turn on the operator (transmitters, proximity readers, key-switches, etc.) out of the reach of children.
4. Transit through the access only with the stationary operator.
5. Ensure safety in the whole movement area of the gate by installing photocells, sensitive edges, magnetic loops, and detectors.
6. Use yellow-black strips or proper signals to identify dangerous spots.
7. Before cleaning and maintenance operations, disconnect the appliance from the mains by switching off the master switch.
8. If removing the actuator, do not cut the electric wires, but disconnect them from the terminal box by loosening the screws inside the junction box.
9. Make sure there are no electromagnetic sources of disturbance near the installation accessories that can affect the magnetic/electromagnetic detections of possible loop detectors and electronic units.
10. All installation operations must be performed by a qualified technician in compliance with safety regulations.
11. Verify the presence of a thermal-magnetic 0.03 A - 230 V - 50 Hz circuit breaker where the main electric source of power of the installation is located.
12. Use appropriate objects to test the correct functionality of safety accessories such as photocells, sensitive edges, etc.
13. Carry out a risk analysis by measuring the crushing and impact force of the main opening and closing edge in compliance with EN 12445.
14. Identify the appropriate solution necessary to eliminate and reduce such risks.
15. During the rotation of the beam, there must be no obstacles or points of contact that interfere with the movement.
16. If the gate to automate is equipped with a pedestrian entrance, prepare the system to prohibit the operation of the engine when the pedestrian entrance is used.
17. Apply safety nameplates with CE marking on the gate warning about the presence of an automated installation.
18. The installer must inform and instruct the end user about the proper use of the system by providing a technical dossier.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed instructions and specific requirements for installation.
