To install the SOUNDTUBE SM1001 Passive Subwoofer using the surface mount bracket, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the subwoofer and remove the 4 feet by unscrewing them. Replace the screws to fill the holes left by the feet.
2. Choose a secure mounting surface with sufficient strength to hold the speaker. The surface-mount bracket must be mounted at least 3 inches below the ceiling, beam, or other top structure. Ensure that the mounting tabs on the bracket point up.
3. Mount the speaker brackets to the back of the speaker with the tabs facing down. Use the included 1/2 inch wood screws to secure the brackets.
4. xxxx the forged eye bolt into the 1/4-20 inserts on the back of the speaker. Attach the included safety cable from the forged eyebolt to a secure mounting point on the structure. The installer needs to supply the fastener to the structure.
5. Connect the wires and set the gain and filters as described in the SM1001p installation instructions.
6. Slide the speaker onto the pre-mounted bracket.
7. Install the security xxxx to secure the speaker in place.
8. Installation is complete.
Please note that SoundTube speakers must be installed by a professional audio installer/contractor for safety and optimum audio performance. It is important to follow all directions issued by SoundTube Entertainment.
