To install the FIAMMA VENT 50 Rooflight, follow these steps:
1. Decide where you want to install the rooflight and make a square hole of 50cm.
2. The rooflight can be installed on roofs with a thickness between 30 and 70mm. If your roof is thinner than 30mm, you will need to use a suitable frame between the roof and the inside frame.
3. Remove the inside frame and apply a waterproof sealant (such as SIKALASTOMER-710 / THEROSTAT II / DEKALIN 1512) to the bottom of the outside frame. The sealant should have a minimum thickness of 3mm.
4. Clean the surface of the roof where the rooflight will be placed. Place the outside part of the rooflight on the roof and insert the inside frame into the square hole. xxxx the two frames together from inside the vehicle using 12 ø4,8mm UNI EN ISO 7049 wood screws. Make sure to tighten the screws at least 15mm to secure the rooflight.
5. Apply sealant around the entire perimeter of the outer frame and fill any gaps between the frame and the roof. Insert the inside frame with the mosquito net and blind, and secure them with screws ø3,5x15mm UNI EN ISO 7049.
6. Remove the protective plastic from the cover, but avoid exposing the product to sunlight for too long.
7. Periodically check the tightness of all the screws in the rooflight, especially after installation and before and after long trips. Lubricate the lid opening device with a few drops of grease if it becomes stiff. Do not walk on the product cover.
8. Before driving, ensure that the rooflight is properly closed. Check the cover periodically for any damage. Do not open the rooflight while the vehicle is in motion or during strong wind or rain. Remove snow or ice from the rooflight.
9. The maximum permitted speed with the rooflight installed is 130 km/h. Always comply with speed limits and the Highway Code, adjusting your speed according to traffic conditions and load.
10. For cleaning, use only neutral, non-aggressive detergents for both the internal and external parts of the rooflight. Use an acrylic glass cleaner with a soft cloth for the Crystal cover. Avoid using aggressive products, alcohol-containing detergents, solvents, or corrosive liquids. Clean the mosquito net with water and neutral detergent, removing the roller blind and fastening screws if necessary.
Please note that it is recommended to consult the product's official website for spare parts drawings and to contact your local dealer for any problems or questions regarding installation or use.
