To install the Merten 682192 Analog Input Bus System KNX REG, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the installation is carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with relevant safety regulations.
2. Snap the device onto a 35 x 7.5 top hat rail as per DIN EN 50022.
3. Connect the device to an external 24V power source, such as the power supply REG, AC 24V/1A (part no. 663629). This power supply can also be used to supply the connected sensors or the EIB device.
4. Make the necessary connections:
- +Us: Power supply of external transducers
- GND: Reference potential for +Us and inputs K1...K4
- K1...K4: Measured-value inputs
- 24V AC: External power supply voltage
- 6-pole system bus: System connector for the connection of an analog input module
5. Power supply of sensors connected:
- All sensors connected can be supplied via terminals +US and GND of the analog input module.
- The total current consumption of all sensors supplied this way must not exceed 100mA.
- Terminals +US and GND are provided in duplicate and are internally interconnected.
- If the current consumption of the sensors exceeds 100mA, they can be supplied externally. In this case, make a connection between terminals K1...K4 and GND.
6. Follow the installation rules:
- If you need to replace a defective module, you can do so during operation by disconnecting the module from the power supply. After replacement, the EIB device will reset after approximately 25 seconds, re-initializing all inputs and outputs.
- Do not remove or add modules without adapting their configuration and subsequent downloading into the EIB device, as this may cause system malfunctioning.
Please refer to the manual for any additional information or specific details related to the installation process.
