To start the Cabela's 201006 4000W Dual Fuel Portable Generator, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the shipping brackets are removed before adding oil.
2. Move the generator outdoors to an open, outdoor area. Never run the generator in enclosed areas.
3. Keep all objects at least 5 feet away from the generator to prevent combustible materials from igniting.
4. Add fuel:
- For gasoline: Add gasoline to the fuel tank. Do not use E15 or E85.
- For propane: Connect a propane cylinder to the generator.
5. Do not plug in any electrical devices before starting the generator.
6. Select the fuel type:
- For gasoline: Turn the fuel select dial to the "Gasoline Run" position.
- For propane: Turn the fuel select dial to the "Propane Run" position.
7. Starting the engine:
- Gasoline:
a. Electric Start:
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position.
- Press and hold the ignition switch to the "START" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
b. Manual Start:

- Pull the starter cord.
