To start the NISSAN QX-35 Engine Pump, follow these steps:
1. Make sure there is water in the pump before starting. Never start the pump without any water in it.
2. Move the fuel xxxx to the open position and move the choke lever to the closed position.
3. Move the throttle lever to the starting position.
4. Pull the recoil starter at a sharp stroke. Do not pull the entire rope or let it return by itself.
5. Once the engine has fired, gradually move the choke lever to the open position.
6. If too much fuel is sucked in, close the fuel xxxx and fully open the throttle lever and choke lever. Then pull the recoil starter.
7. After the engine has started, confirm that the water in the suction hose rises up to the pump. Adjust the quantity of water by opening the throttle lever.
Note: If the pump fails to suck up water initially, check if a valve connected on the discharge side is closed or if the hose is doubled.
