The SLGR microchannel technology in the ALORAIR Storm SLGR 1600X dehumidifier improves the performance and efficiency of the unit. It uses a special air-to-air heat exchanger system to bring the air closer to the dew point temperature before it passes over the super-cooled evaporator coils. This, combined with the microchannel aluminum condenser, maximizes the capacity and efficiency of the dehumidifier.
The microchannel condenser technology improves energy efficiency by increasing the dispersion effect of the condenser by 50%, the heat exchange area by 30%, and the refrigerant quantity by 50%. When combined with the SLGR microchannel, the dehumidifier's efficiency can be increased by 30-50%.
The increased efficiency results in more condensation forming on the coils inside the machine, leading to faster heat interchange and more moisture being pumped out.
