To clean the BROAN Ceiling, Wall Fans, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power supply and lock out the service panel before servicing the unit.
2. To clean the grille, use a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cloths, steel wool pads, or scouring powders.
3. To clean the fan assembly, unplug the motor cord from the receptacle. Find the single tab on the motor plate (located next to the receptacle) and push up near the tab while pushing out on the side of the housing. Alternatively, insert a straight-blade screwdriver into the slot in the housing (next to the tab) and twist the screwdriver. Gently vacuum the fan, motor, and interior of the housing. Do not immerse metal and electrical parts in water.
4. To reassemble all the parts, reverse the procedures explained above.
Note: The manual advises against immersing metal and electrical parts in water and recommends using a mild detergent for cleaning.
