To stack the Electrolux EFLW417SIW Front Load Washer with a dryer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that there is adequate space to stack the dryer on top of the washer.
2. Disconnect the dryer from electrical and gas connections and exhaust venting. If your dryer has a Steam Option, also disconnect the water supply.
3. Protect the floor with cardboard or another covering and carefully tip the dryer onto its back. Make sure to have more than one person to avoid back or other injuries.
4. Remove the adjustable leveling legs from the dryer and save them for future use.
5. Attach the front stacking bracket to the dryer front using two #10 screws. Do not remove any existing screws from the front panel.
6. Carefully return the dryer to an upright position.
7. Prepare the top surface of the washer by wiping the front portion with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth.
8. Remove the backing from the clear self-adhesive strips and apply the long strips to each side edge of the washer top. Apply the short strips just inside the long strips at the back.
9. If this is a new installation, move the washer to within 4 feet of its final location. Refer to the installation instructions for connections and leveling.
10. When the washer is in its final installation site, electrical and water connections have been completed, and the washer is level, have two or more people lift the dryer onto the washer.
11. Center the dryer left-to-right and align the seam between the dryer front panel and side panel to the seam of the washer front panel and side panel.
12. Insert the tab of the rear bracket into the slot toward the base of the dryer. Pivot the rear bracket downward to align with the holes in the washer top panel.
13. Attach each rear bracket to the washer top panel using two #10 screws provided with the stacking kit.
14. To ensure the dryer is centered on the washer, both bracket tabs should be flush to the dryer back panel and inner edge of the slot after tightening all bracket screws. Adjust the dryer position if necessary before affixing the front bracket adhesive.
15. Lift the front of the dryer and remove the backing from the adhesive strip on the front bracket. Gently lower the dryer to adhere the front bracket to the washer top, aligning the dryer side panel to the washer side panel as you lower the dryer.
16. Refer to the dryer installation instructions for connecting the dryer, including electrical connections and venting.
