To connect the SWM16-MAX receiver to your smart TV, you will need to use the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port on your TV. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Make sure your smart TV has an HDMI ARC port. Most TV manufacturers offer ARC output over only one HDMI port, which is usually indicated by a label on the set itself. If the HDMI ports aren't clearly labeled, you can check the TV manual to identify which HDMI port to use.
2. Connect one end of an HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI ARC port on your smart TV.
3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port on the SWM16-MAX receiver.
4. Power on the SWM16-MAX receiver by connecting it to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
5. Set your smart TV's audio output settings to PCM mode. This can usually be done in the TV's settings menu.
6. Once the connections are made and the receiver is powered on, you should be able to hear the audio from your smart TV through the SWM16-MAX receiver and adjust the volume using the receiver's controls.
