To connect the SOUND TOWN CARME-208SPW Dual 8 Inch Powered Subwoofer to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Identify the input connectors on the rear panel of the subwoofer. There are two options: Combo Input (balanced 1/4"/XLR combo jacks A/B) and RCA Input (unbalanced RCA connectors).
2. If your audio system has balanced outputs, use the Combo Input. Connect the audio cables from the balanced outputs of your audio system to the Combo Input jacks A/B on the subwoofer. Make sure to match the left and right channels correctly.
3. If your audio system has unbalanced outputs, use the RCA Input. Connect the audio cables from the unbalanced outputs of your audio system to the RCA Input jacks on the subwoofer. Again, ensure correct channel matching.
4. Once the connections are made, adjust the volume control on the subwoofer to set the desired level of the subwoofer in your audio system. The standard usage is to set the volume control at 50%.
5. If you want to adjust the low-frequency response of the subwoofer, use the LPF (Low Pass Filter) control. This control allows you to adjust the frequency filter from 40Hz to 150Hz. Setting it to the middle usually works best.
6. If needed, you can use the Polarity control to reverse the phase of the subwoofer in relation to the rest of your PA setup. This can be helpful in correcting any out-of-phase issues.
7. Finally, connect the included IEC power cable to the IEC input on the rear panel of the subwoofer. Make sure to supply the proper AC line voltage (115V for US Standard or 230V for European Standard) by adjusting the Voltage selection switch accordingly.
