To install the ITC 69400 Compass Overhead light, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power: Before installing or making any changes, ensure that the power is disconnected to avoid any electrical hazards.
2. Account for all parts: Make sure you have all the necessary parts and tools needed for installation. Also, remember to destroy all packing materials to prevent any hazards to children.
3. Fuse protection: It is recommended to add fuse protection to the positive (+) input for added safety.
4. Determine installation location: Decide where you want to install the light and use the light itself to mark the holes. Drill holes for the screws and cut out a 2" hole for the light.
5. Wire the light: Refer to the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to correctly wire the light. Once wired, test the light to ensure it is functioning properly.
6. Mounting the light: Depending on the model, there are two methods for mounting the light:
- 69400NS/69410NS: xxxx down the light using the provided screws.
- 69400/69410: Push the clips on both sides of the light up and slide the housing and clips through the hole. The clips will snap down and hold the light in place.
