To install the ITC 69270-XX License Plate Light, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power: Before starting the installation, make sure to disconnect power to avoid any accidents.
2. Gather necessary parts/tools: You will need screws appropriate for the mounting surface, a power drill, butt splices, and application-specific sealant.
3. Determine installation location: Decide where you want to install the license plate light. Drill a hole for the wires at that location.
4. Align and mark xxxx holes: Place the light in the wire hole and use it to mark the xxxx holes on the mounting surface. Drill appropriately sized holes for the mounting screws.
5. Wire the light: Follow the wiring diagram provided in the manual to connect the light to your system. It is recommended to add fuse protection to the positive (+) input.
6. Apply sealant: Feed the wires back through the hole and apply application-specific sealant around the wire hole to ensure a watertight seal.
