To install the dmf DRDHNJC Concrete Ceiling Deep Junction Box Frame-in Kit in a poured concrete ceiling, follow these steps:
1. Locate the desired position for the fixture.
2. xxxx the junction box to a temporary wooden ceiling board using two screws (not included) up to a #8 size.
3. Remove the screws from the junction box lid and take off the lid.
4. Route the electrical wires through the side knockouts of the junction box.
5. Connect the hardwire adapter (included with DMF modules) to the electrical leads of the junction box.
6. Reinstall the junction box lid.
7. Pour the concrete. After the concrete dries, remove the temporary wooden board. If necessary, consult a structural engineer for specific details.
8. Cut any excess screws below the ceiling level.
9. Finish the concrete ceiling.
10. Install two screws (included) and retaining washers (included) into the xxxx holes in the module Lange.
11. Make the ground wire connection and attach the ground wire terminal (factory installed on the module) to the junction box according to national and local electrical codes. Ensure that the ground wire is securely attached to the junction box.
12. Carefully route the wires into the junction box and connect the module's female connector to the hardwire adapter's male connector.
13. Place the module into the junction box, aligning the screws with the washers to the xxxx holes in the junction box bracket. xxxx the module to the junction box. Note: Do not push the module into the ceiling.
14. Align the trim onto the module and turn it clockwise until it is secure. Note: The trim must be securely attached to the module.
15. Push the trim up until it is flush with the ceiling. To remove the trim, turn it counterclockwise and then pull it down.
