1. Before the first use, assemble the Colibri head by attaching it to the connecting tube and the device. Also, attach the power cord to the device and plug it into a power outlet. Make sure the device is switched off (control button in OFF position) before connecting or disconnecting it from the power network.
2. To use the nasal aspirator, select the correct suction power based on the age of your child. The recommended settings are:
- Minimum setting for newborns
- Middle setting for babies
- Maximum setting for small children and pre-schoolers
3. Hold your child in a stable position while using the nasal aspirator. For infants, lay them in a stable position and hold their head during the process. You can also sit them in an infant bouncer or seat. If the child is already able to sit, sit them in your lap. Do not lay the child on their back during the aspiration.
4. Move the nose tip around gently to ensure you cover all areas of the nostril. In rare instances where the nostrils of a newborn are too small, place the nose tip in a way that the nostril is completely covered. The nasal aspirator's efficiency is enough for cleaning the nasal passages properly.
5. After use, switch off the device with the control button (OFF setting). If you don't plan to use the device for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the power network. Do not disconnect the device from the power network during operation.
6. To clean the nasal aspirator, remove the connecting tube and nose tip, then disassemble the Colibri head. Wash the parts with liquid soap and lukewarm water. Use the brush provided to clean the nose tip. You can soak the parts in a disinfection liquid, ensuring it is safe for baby equipment. Let the parts dry completely before the next use. Do not wash the connecting tube as mucus cannot enter it during proper use.
7. Check the condition of the air mesh after use. The air mesh is placed under the connecting unit to prevent solid objects and dust from entering the housing. If it is dirty or clogged, replace it. Clean the housing with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any liquids, detergents, or chemicals for cleaning the housing.
8. Store the device in a space protected from dust, direct sunlight, and heat.
