To properly install the ASHCROFT ZT11 High Purity Transmitter, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the pressure transmitter is compatible with your application's specifications, including pressure range, power source, and output.
2. Use a hexagonal wrench to tighten the union connection of the pressure transmitter to the VCR fitting. Avoid applying excessive force to the enclosure during installation.
3. Select a location for installation that is not exposed to direct sunlight, condensation, dust, oil, or water. Avoid environments with excessive vibration, impact, or dust.
4. Use the product within the recommended operating temperature range of -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C).
5. Allow for sufficient space around the instrument for maintenance and adjustment.
6. Do not touch or breathe on the gas contact parts of the transmitter, and take care not to damage the seal surface.
7. Do not block the air inlet on the top of the instrument, as this can affect its performance.
8. Avoid applying excessive force or bending to the cable once the connector is attached to the product.
9. If using a non-supplied connector, ensure that it meets the specifications mentioned in the manual.
10. Perform wire connection according to the provided wiring schematic and terminal array. Avoid pulling or bending the cable with excessive force.
11. Verify the load resistance and power supply voltage compatibility.
12. Purge the unit with sufficient inert gas before operation to remove any atmospheric components, particles, or foreign matter within the pipe.
13. Once installed, perform routine inspections every 6 months, including checking for physical damage, corrosion, clogging, and proper insulation resistance.
14. Use a soft cloth moistened with water to clean the external parts of the instrument, avoiding the use of harsh chemicals.
15. For adjustments, follow the instructions provided in the manual for zero and span calibration. Take precautions not to damage the device or cause a short circuit during adjustments.
16. If any abnormalities or issues are identified, contact the distributor or Ashcroft for further assistance.
