To remove the Center Console Trim Panels on your Subaru WRX, please follow the steps outlined in the installation manual:
1. Disconnect the power cord of the battery (-) negative side before handling electrical components such as the connector. Set the select lever to the "N" position before removing the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the Cover ASSY Front.
3. Remove the Tray ASSY Center Lower. Be careful not to remain the base material on the vehicle. The tip portion of the base material is inserted into the Instrument Panel.
4. Remove the shift xxxx according to the procedure shown in the figure in the manual.
5. Open the Console Lid, pull up the Cover ASSY Front, and disengage the clips (18 places). Please pull the Cover ASSY Front upward from the rear end of the cup holder and rotate it as shown in the illustration to disengage the clip. Pull it out backward after the clips are disengaged. Be careful not to damage the parts.
6. Remove each connector and remove the Cover ASSY Front.
7. Remove the Center Console Trim Panels from the Cover ASSY Front, which is removed from the vehicle. Remove the screws (2 places) and the resin claws (4 places) to detach the Center Console Trim Panels. Take care not to damage the part where the pin of the Center Console Trim Panels is inserted in the Cover Front.
8. Repeat the same steps for the LH (left-hand) side.
9. Attach the Center Console Trim Panels to the Cover Front in the reverse order of removing them. Use the removed screws when assembling.
10. Restore the Cover ASSY Front and the Tray ASSY Center Lower in the reverse order of removing them. Pay attention to the positions of the circles and triangles markings on the mat and base material of the Tray ASSY Center Lower.
11. Restore the Shift xxxx in the reverse order of removing it.
12. Make sure there are no assembly mistakes or scratches on the removed and restored vehicle parts.
13. Connect the removed battery terminal to the battery.
14. After confirming the operation of each electrical component to which the connector has been attached and detached, the work is completed. If the setting is back to default or data is lost, please re-enter the data.
