To install the Landis Gyr T450 Ultrasonic Heat and Cooling Meter, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the meter is only installed by personnel trained in the installation and operation of meters in heating/cooling systems.
2. Install or remove the meter on an unpressurized system. Do not install or remove the meter while the system is under pressure.
3. After installing the meter, check the leak tightness of the system to ensure there are no leaks.
4. Make sure to comply with the local regulations for installation.
5. The meter should be installed in the appropriate location based on whether it is a heat meter, cooling meter, or combined heat/cooling meter. The installation location corresponds to the return and supply sides of the system.
6. Keep all cables at a minimum distance of 500 mm from power and high-frequency cables.
7. Avoid overpressure cavitation throughout the system, maintaining at least 1 bar for qp and approximately 3 bar for qs (applies for approximately 80 °C).
8. Do not cut, shorten, or extend the control line of the meter.
9. Ensure that the meter housing does not come into contact with silicone oils or substances containing silicone oil.
10. Do not lift the meter by the calculator.
11. Pay attention to sharp edges on threads, flanges, and the measuring tube of the meter.
