To install the MHOxygen 5TEMP-0002-00 EDS-ip Distributor in a front-panel-mount configuration, follow these steps:
1. Remove the "Gullwings" on the Distributor mounting bracket (back cover) by removing the 4 screws holding the cover in place. Cut off the gullwing features and re-install the modified cover. The cover must be in place to ensure proper operation of the Distributor.
2. Create the necessary cutout(s) in the panel(s) according to the information provided on Sheet 2 of the manual.
3. Decide on the method of securing the Adapter/Distributor to the panel. If using machine screws, install nut plates, clip-nuts (speed-nuts), or similar hardware into the panel. If using sheet metal screws, drill appropriately-sized pilot holes or use clip nuts/speed-nuts.
4. Slide a pair of Escutcheon Adapters into the mounting gutter around the body of the Distributor.
5. If the fit of the finished part is too tight, chamfer the interior edges of the cutout. If it is too loose, you may need to start over or find a way to fill the gap.
6. Feed/pull the oxygen supply tubing and electrical interface cable (DE-09 connector) through the panel cutout and connect them to the Distributor as indicated in the EDS-ip manual.
7. Feed the Distributor down through the panel cutout, "connector" end first, tipping it as shown in the manual to negotiate the cutout.
8. Secure the Distributor and Adapters to the panel using your preferred method (sheet metal xxxx method is shown in the manual).
