To check the accuracy of your thermometer using the rossmax ThermoCal Professional Testing Device, follow these steps:
1. Check the water level of the water bath in the device.
2. Turn on the device.
3. Select a testing temperature on the control panel (default at 37°C).
4. Wait for the water in the bath to reach the desired temperature.
5. Choose the blackbody cavity that corresponds to the type of thermometer you have (pen type, ear, or temple thermometer).
6. Set your thermometer into the calibration mode.
7. Insert the probe or tip of your thermometer into the blackbody cavity.
8. Start the measurement.
9. Your thermometer will beep when the measurement is completed.
10. Compare the reading given by your thermometer to the calibration temperature.
11. The acceptable allowance for accuracy is within ±0.2°C.
