Sure! Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install the EMTEK Grip by Grip Entryset Single Cylinder Deadbolt:
1. Door Prep:
- Measure and mark the desired height for the deadbolt on the door.
- Use a hole saw to drill a 2-1/8" diameter hole through the face of the door at the marked location.
- Drill a 1" diameter hole through the edge of the door to accommodate the latch.
2. Door Jamb Prep:
- Measure and mark the location for the strike plate on the door jamb.
- Use a chisel to mortise the strike plate into the door jamb.
3. Install Bolt and Latch:
- Insert the deadbolt latch into the 1" diameter hole on the edge of the door.
- Secure the latch with the provided screws.
- Insert the deadbolt bolt into the 2-1/8" diameter hole on the face of the door.
- Secure the bolt with the provided screws.
4. Mount Outside Trim Plate:
- Place the outside trim plate over the deadbolt bolt on the exterior side of the door.
- Align the xxxx holes on the trim plate with the holes on the door.
- Secure the trim plate to the door using the provided screws.
5. Mount Inside Trim Plate:
- Place the inside trim plate over the deadbolt latch on the interior side of the door.
- Align the xxxx holes on the trim plate with the holes on the door.
- Secure the trim plate to the door using the provided screws.
