To install the TROY LIGHTING B3691 Magnus Wall Sconce, please follow the steps below:

1. Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (1) to the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (2). Ensure that the junction box is securely mounted to the building structure.

2. Connect the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box (usually a green or bare copper wire) or the GROUND  xxxx  (3) on the MOUNTING PLATE (1). Never connect the ground wire to the "hot" wire to avoid serious injury or death.

3. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral wire (usually white) in the outlet box. Use an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (4) to secure the wires together. Wrap the connection with electrical tape starting 1" below the fastener to seal the end and prevent short circuits.

4. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot wire (usually black) in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires as in the previous step. Never reverse hot and neutral wires to avoid serious injury or death.

5. Attach the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (5) to the MOUNTING PLATE (1) using FLAT HEAD SCREWS (6).

6.  xxxx  the recommended BULB (7) up into the SOCKET of the fixture. This fixture is rated for a 40-watt Type B lamp. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.

7. Attach the SHADE (8) by fastening its clips onto the BULB (7).

8. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
