To install the EMTEK Modern Styles Electronic Deadbolt Lock Sets, follow these steps:

1. Prepare the door by fastening the Security Plate using two #10 x 3” Wood Screws.
2. Fasten the Strike Plate using two #8 x 3/4” Wood Screws.
3. Install the Latch by fastening it with two #8 x 3/4” Wood Screws. Make sure the latch assembly is oriented correctly and the bolt is in the retracted position.
4. Remove the screws from the Inside Trim Plate using a Phillips head screwdriver and detach it from the Inside Chassis. Remove the Inside Chassis from the Trim Plate before installing the outside trim. The thumbturn must be in the unlocked position.
5. Position the Outside Trim Plate Assembly through the bore hole. Once positioned, the outside trim plate assembly requires support.
6. Install the Inside Chassis by confirming the position of the Flat Shaft and feeding the Wire Harness through it. Fasten the Inside Chassis using two #8-32 x 1 1/2” Flat Head Machine Screws. Connect the Wire Harness and tuck the connectors as shown. Install the battery.
7. Install the Inside Trim Plate by fastening it with two #8-32 x 3/8” Flat Head Machine Screws. The unlocked position is required for installation and removal of the Inside Trim Plate Assembly.
