To install the Command Access MLRK1 Motorized Latch-Retraction Kit, please follow these steps:
1. Slide off the push pad assembly from the exit device.
2. If present, remove the dogging assembly and install the provided spacer over the existing holes.
3. Line up the mounting holes on the motor kit with the xxxx holes on the spacer/base rail.
4. Turn the full assembly to the side and install the provided screws from underneath to secure the motor kit to the base rail.
5. Slide the connecting bracket over the dogging post at the end of the push pad. Move the attaching arms on the motor kit up to line up with the holes on the connecting bracket.
6. Once the attaching arms are lined up, insert the connecting pin to connect the motor kit to the connecting bracket.
7. Install the provided e-clip over the end of the link pin to secure it in place.
8. Replace the existing spacers with the provided pad spacers on both sides of the push pad, next to the rubber bumpers, to connect to the connecting bracket.
9. Re-install the push pad assembly into the exit device housing, ensuring that the push pad spacer and rubber bumpers are properly aligned.
10. Locate the hole on the underside of the device and line it up with the tapped hole in the base rail.
11. Install the position set xxxx (pan head xxxx ) to secure the push pad assembly to the housing.
12. Set the "Push to Set Adjustment" following the steps on page 2 of the instruction manual.
