To clean the sandwich press, follow these steps:
1. Before cleaning, make sure to unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down completely.
2. Wipe the outside of the sandwich press with a slightly moistened cloth. Do not use any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this may damage the finish.
3. Do not immerse the sandwich press in water or any other liquid.
4. If there is food residue stuck on the plates, reheat the unit and brush on a little vegetable oil. Let it stand for a few minutes before wiping the plates again with a damp cloth.
5. It is important to clean the plates after every use to maintain their non-stick coating.
