To install the EMTEK Privacy Pocket Door Mortise Lock, please follow the steps below:
1. Door Preparation: Refer to the template provided for door prep specifications. Make sure the door is properly prepared according to the instructions.
2. Install Lock Body: Place the lock body into the prepared pocket in the door. Ensure it is aligned correctly and fits securely.
3. Install Drive Bar Cylinder: Insert the drive bar cylinder into the lock body. Note that the notch on the cylinder must be in the 9 o'clock position when fully screwed into the lock body.
4. Tighten Drive Bar Cylinder: Use the provided locking xxxx to tighten the drive bar cylinder. This will engage the notch on the cylinder and ensure it is securely in place.
5. Mount Inside/Outside Plates: Align the passage/privacy button with the thumb-turn spindle and secure the trim plates to the door. Make sure they are properly aligned and tightened.
6. Install Trim Plate: Attach the trim plate to the inside of the door. Ensure it is securely fastened.
7. Install Door Jamb: Refer to the template provided for door jamb prep specifications. Install the door jamb according to the instructions.
