To upgrade an analog regulator to the Nidec SWITCH2D350 Leroy Somer digital regulator, follow these steps:
1. Remove the panels from the terminal box to access the analog regulator.
2. Disconnect the FASTON connectors from the analog regulator.
3. Unscrew and remove the analog regulator.
4. Insert and xxxx in the D350 digital regulator using a torque of 4 Nm ±1.
5. Take the main cable set and connect the two 3- and 6-pin MATE-N-LOK foolproof connectors to the D350.
6. Connect all male FASTON tabs in the cable set to the corresponding female FASTON receptacles from the alternator.
7. If available, connect the current transformer using the "2-pin MATE-N-LOK" cable set provided in the kit.
8. Replace and tighten the lid of the terminal box.
Please refer to the D350 instruction manual available on the LEROY-SOMER website for detailed installation and wiring instructions. Make sure to comply with the safety instructions mentioned in the manual.
Note: In special cases where the AREP voltage may be too weak, it is recommended to supply wires 9 and 10 directly from the generator's terminal box. Insulate the yellow and green wires marked 9 and 10 from the alternator and connect them to the corresponding terminals on the alternator panel using lugs of appropriate sizes.
For further assistance or specific connection diagrams, refer to the manual of the corresponding alternator or contact LEROY-SOMER technical support.
Please note that it is essential to comply with the power connection diagrams recommended in the manual and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel. LEROY-SOMER declines all responsibility if these recommendations are not observed.
