To connect the KVM-tec 6501 Full HD KVM Over IP Extender to your computer and peripherals, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the CON / Remote Unit and the CPU / Local Unit to the included 12V 2A power supply.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to a USB port on your PC and the other end to the CPU / Local Unit. This will allow you to control your computer remotely using the keyboard and mouse connected to the CON / Remote Unit.
3. Use a network cable to connect the CPU / Local Unit and the CON / Remote Unit.
4. Connect the DVI cable to the DVI socket of your PC and the other end to the DVI socket of the CPU / Local Unit (labeled as PC-in).
5. Connect your monitor to the CON / Remote Unit using a DVI cable.
Once you have completed these steps, your KVM-tec Extender will be ready for use. It is designed to provide reliable performance for many years, with an estimated Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of approximately 10 years.
